About RE Evans Farms Ltd
RE Evans Farms Ltd was formed in February 2017 when the former farming partnership of Rachel Evans and her family acquired two additional dairy farms of 1,200 acres at Lower Broadmoor and Corston. This business has expanded further and is now farming over 2,000 acres with three quarters of the land located in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park.
The spiritual home of the business is Orlandon near St Brides beach where Rachel’s family have been farming for over 50 years and run a holiday cottage business.
RE Evans Farms Ltd, or REEF as it is known locally, believes that Welsh farming has a strong, viable and exciting future for businesses harnessing the opportunities. As a result continued investment is planned for the farming business and the broader facilities including the holiday cottages.
REEF works closely with its customers Puffin Produce Ltd, for which the family are the largest individual shareholders. All the non-forage crops produced are supplied directly to Puffin Produce Ltd and through this relationship the potatoes, daffodils and cauliflower are supplied to retailers exclusively for the Welsh market.
The other principle customer is First Milk which is centrally located between the two dairy farms at Haverfordwest. All milk produced by the herd of 700 Holsteins is supplied into First Milk to produce cheese for the UK Retailers.
REEF employees 15 full time employees and recruits additional labour during the seasonal peaks of planting and harvest. The business is committed to the personal development of its team and aspires to one of the best and safest farm businesses to work for in Pembrokeshire. A number of the REEF employees live on the farm within the selection of properties enjoying amazing sea views, sunshine and rain that Pembrokeshire delivers.
